Introducing my niece Alannah!

Hey everyone! Meet my niece Alannah Beth Keeling! She was born June 15th, 2018! She is 2 months and 6 days old!

She is just the cutest little girl ever! She looks just like my sister but with dark and and a bit more darker skin. She has brown eyes like her dad!

I still can’t believe my sister had a kid! The day was a bit wild! But in the end it was worth it seeing this little girls face!

I can’t wait to read her Harry Potter and have her watch the movies and also watch Disney movies with her! Yes I am going to turn her into a nerd! 😀

Now Okay, I am sorry it took me a while to make a new post. There really is no excuse for it. I promise to be more consistent.

Until next time; Spread Happiness and always be kind!

Elites of Eden is about two girls. One is named Yarrow; A young, rich, elite girl who is the daughter of one of the most powerful women of Eden. She can destroy anyone with just a look. The other is named Rowan. A second child running away from the government who plan to kill her or worse. The government who killed her mother and took her twin brother.

Book Review: The Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been neglecting this blog! I really have no excuse for it! But here I am with another book review!

“If I cannot be better than them, I will become so much worse.”

I chose the picture above because I have the OwlCrate exclusive cover for the book.

What the book is about:

Our main character in the story, Jude, was seven when her parents were murdered. Her and her two sisters, Taryn and Vivienne also known as Vivi, were taken away by their parents murderer, Madoc, to High Court of Faerie. Jude wants to be a part of the royal court by becoming a knight. But the problem is many of the Fey don’t like humans.

And there is Prince Carden. The youngest of the High Kings children and he also hates mortals. He and his friends like to torment Jude and Taryn, but they can’t kill them because Madoc is the main general of the High Kings army.

What I think:

I gave this book 3/5 stars.

I like the concept and the writing and some of the characters, but it felt like Jude didn’t really contribute anything to the story. Sure she is the main character and she can fight, but she wasn’t very interesting.

And I didn’t like Prince Carden at all! He was just a bully and he basically made Jude’s life a living hell whenever he could. I understand his father didn’t pay him much attention, nut that is no excuse. You guys will understand when you read the book.

And when hey go to live with Madoc I just don’t understand why they stay. I understand that their parents were murdered and they wouldn’t have much, but they could’ve went to live with an aunt or something.

Either way I still love the cover and the story and the world in the book!

Book Review: Simon Vs. The Homosapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Hey guys! I am here with another book review! And today is Simon Vs. The Homosapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli!

About the Book:

This story is about a guy named Simon Spier. He is a closeted gay kid in high school. One day he learns that there is another closeted gay kid at his school but the only thing he knows about him is his made up name “Blue.”. He begins emailing Blue under his own fake name and they start talking back and forth.

One day Simon leaves his email account up in the library by mistake. Another person sees the emails and tells Simon that he won’t show anyone the emails if he can get him a date with his friend Abby. Now Simon begins to freak out because he doesn’t know how Blue would react if the emails get out, so he goes along with the blackmail.

This book is an lgbtq+ fiction that is funny and heartwarming.

What I think of the book:

I LOVED this book! I loved the plot and the characters and just everything! I love Simon’s friends; Nick, Leah, and Abby. I also loved his parents!

Now the kid who blackmails Simon I’m not a particular fan of. No one should make some one else come out if they don’t want to. I also liked that message of the story and how they questioned “Why is being straight the default?”.

I give this book a 5/5 stars and I really highly recommend it!

I’ve seen the movie adaptation “Love, Simon” back in March and it is SOOOO GOOD! ❤

Let me know in the comments: Have you read this book? What did you think of it? Have you seen the movie? What were your thoughts on that? 🙂

I hope everyone has a great week and remember to Spread Happiness! 🙂

Book Review:Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills

Hey guys! I am coming at you with another book review! Today it is ‘Foolish Hearts‘ by Emma Mills. I have the OwlCrate exclusive cover of the book so that’s why it may look a bit different! Let’s go on with the review!

What it’s about:

Foolish Hearts is about a girl named Claudia who accidentally eavesdrops on the breakup of Paige and Iris, the ‘it’ couple at her all girls school. They catch Claudia eavesdropping and Iris is not happy at all! When school starts back, Claudia is unfortunately paired with Iris on a project and they both fail. So the teacher gets them to work together on the schools play called ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream‘. Claudia also meets a cute, goofy guy called Gideon.

My thoughts on the book:

I give this book 4/5 stars. It’s a Young Adult contemporary novel. I loved the characters and the plot and writing. But this book is meant for when you are in maybe freshman or sophomore in high school. Or maybe middle school as well.

This book is about friendship and also family. I really liked that and the fact they put in that the characters play an online role playing game called Battlequest. I love geeky stuff! 🙂 I also loved that they put in LGBTQ+ aspects in it with Paige and Iris!

But all in all Foolish Hearts is a good book and I would recommend it.  ❤

Let me know in the comments: Have you read this book? What did you think of it? Did you get it in an OwlCrate too? I would love to hear from you!

Hope you guys have a great Sunday! Spread Happiness!

Film Review: ‘The Greatest Showman’

Now this is my first film review so please be gentle in the comments!

Now I went and seen this movie in December and I LOVED IT! The acting, the script, the music! It was all just amazing!

This movie is a musical somewhat based on true events. It was inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum and his creation of the Barnum and Bailey circus and the lives of its star attractions.

This movie stars: Hugh Jackman as P.T. Barnum, Zac Efron as Philip Bailey, Zendaya, Michelle Williams, and many others!

This move was a masterpiece! The music will have you singing along. I still can’t stop listening to the soundtrack! I don’t know how to describe it but this movie will have you feeling so happy and warm when you are in a bad mood!

I don’t know what else to tell you guys without spoiling the movie so go see it when and if you can and pick up the blu-ray when it comes out! I know I will! ❤

If you love musicals you definitely won’t be disappointed!

Let me know in the comments; Have you seen this movie? What were your thoughts on it? I would love to know! 🙂

Book Review: ‘We Are Okay’ by Nina LaCour

There used to be days that I thought I was okay. Or at least that I was going to be. We’d be hanging out somewhere and everything would just fit right and I would think ‘it will be okay if it can just be like this forever’ but of course nothing can ever just stay just how it is forever.”

‘We Are Okay’

Nina LaCour

This book was so amazing! I loved the writing, the plot, the characters! Everything! I basically read this book in a day! I couldn’t put it down! I loved the raw emotion in the book and the main characters journey.

This book is  a YA contemporary about a girl named Marin. She leaves her hometown in California to go to college in New York with nothing but the clothes on her back and not telling anyone she left. Not even her best friend Mabel.

Marin is trying to run away from a tragedy and that’s why she doesn’t tell anyone she’s leaving. She just doesn’t want to deal with people talking about the tragedy or asking her questions. Until her best friend from her hometown decides to come visit at her college.

Now Marin is nervous about Mabel coming to visit her because she knows that she’ll ask her questions and demand answers. She’s not so sure that she is ready to answer.

This book will take you through an emotional journey while Marin tries to figure out how to handle her feelings about her past. You will cry, laugh, and fall in love with the characters! The cover is beautiful too!

I hope you guys pick up this book and love it as much as I did! 🙂

If you have read this book, let me know in the comments what you thought about it! Did you like it? I would love to know!
